Supercharge your business strategy

Last week I spent a day at The Belfry with Sandra Garlick and a group of incredible women – and it gave me the clarity I didn’t even realise I’d been craving.


The day itself was a mix of strategy and spa (yes, in swimsuits!). Normally that would have been daunting for me – since hitting menopause my body and identity have shifted, and I’ve struggled with body image. But this group was different. No judgement, no comparison, just women showing up for themselves and their businesses.

We caught up on our last 90-day goals, set new ones, shared ideas, and each had a 1:1 with Sandra. She’s not the kind of mentor to massage your ego – she’ll challenge your thinking, ask the hard questions, and help you find the clarity to move forward. Exactly what I needed.


Why I invest in strategy days myself

Here’s the honest truth. For years I believed that because I offered strategy and support to businesses, it would look weak if I sought the same for myself. I thought people would assume I didn’t know what I was doing. That belief held me back.


That changed when I met Lisa Johnson and Sandra Garlick – two hugely successful women who openly have coaches and mentors around them. If they need support, why on earth did I think I shouldn’t? Since then I’ve invested in two strategy days with Sandra, and each one has helped me push my business further.

It was the wake-up call I needed: investing in myself isn’t a weakness, it’s a strength.


The value from both sides of the table

Because here’s the thing – I know the power of strategy days from both sides. As a client, they give me space to reset, review, and refocus. As a mentor, I get to create that same clarity for the businesses I work with.
