Small Business Saturday & Showing Up

This weekend was Small Business Saturday – a nationwide campaign that champions the small-but-mighty businesses keeping our communities going. They celebrate, support and spotlight businesses like ours, helping us reach new audiences and reminding people to shop small, buy small and hire small.

To mark the day, I shared a 10% discount on all proposals until 20 December using SMALLBIZ10. If you want help with branding, websites, strategy or marketing in 2025, just ask for your proposal before the 20th and you’ll qualify – get in touch.
But here’s the truth…
Small Business Saturday isn’t just about buying from each other. It’s about showing up.
Being visible. Sharing what you do. Letting people see the magic behind the scenes.
And visibility is something so many business owners struggle with – not because they can’t do it, but because:
they’re overwhelmed
they don’t know where to start
they feel too busy
or they forget that visibility is marketing
So this week's Sunday School is all about helping you get seen in a way that feels simple, doable and very you.
Your Sunday School task: Do a Visibility Check
This week, take a few minutes to look at the last 7 days and ask yourself:
Where was I visible? Did you post? Network? Email? Tell someone what you do? Share a win? Show your face?
Where was I invisible? Did you hide because you were tired, overwhelmed or didn’t know what to say?
What ONE thing could I do this week to be seen by the right people?
It might be:
posting once
updating your website
sharing a recent win
asking for a testimonial
reaching out to a past client
showing up on Stories
repurposing something you already have
Visibility doesn’t have to be loud. It just has to be consistent.

A little reminder…
